Faraz Khan, Founder and Director of Social, Entrepreneurship and Equity Development (SEED) Ventures, has been recognised in the 2023 New Year’s Honours list.
Faraz, who studied an MBA in Marketing at the University of Lincoln, UK, was awarded an MBE in King Charles III’s first New Year’s Honours list for services to UK/Pakistan relations.
Faraz’ business, Karachi-based SEED Ventures, specialises in investment and impact development with collaborations and partnerships at a local and global level with the public, private, development, media, academia and financial sectors.
Through his work, Faraz has engaged and supported over 100,000 people through impact programmes and collaborations between the UK and Pakistan with a focus on inclusive education, enterprise, and social enterprise.
The MBE specifically recognises Faraz’ efforts in this area and his contributions to the fields of social impact, environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), and climate advocacy.
Faraz continues to support the University through his role as an Advisory Board member at Lincoln International Business School which he combines with several additional roles, including sitting on the UK’s All Party Parliamentary Group for Entrepreneurship also as an Advisory Board member.
Speaking about the recognition, Faraz said: “I am honoured to receive an MBE. With this privilege comes immense responsibility that fuels my determination to further propel our work towards impact and sustainability.
“The University of Lincoln has played a pivotal role in the academic foundation of my journey and now, as an Advisory Board member, I hope to contribute and strengthen the education of students through our work in the space of Impact, ESG & sustainability.”
