What are you doing now you have graduated from the University of Lincoln?: I was successful in an application to work as a HR Business Partner with American Express Global Business Travel upon completion of my degree.
How did your time at the University of Lincoln support your career?: The qualification supported a career move from an operations background to a Human Resources position. The time was very enriching, meeting peers and lecturers with different perspectives broaden my critical thinking.
What are the best parts of your job?: Moving into HR was a dream I was able to realise due to the qualification gained through the degree, I thoroughly enjoy improving the employee experience and supporting colleagues through varying stages of the employee lifecycle. I also work virtually which provides great flexibility around my family life.
If you could give our current students any top tip for after graduation and their careers, what would it be?: Take your time to consider the right industry for you and the right profession, gain a variety of work experience at every opportunity.
What inspired you to study at the University of Lincoln (or one of its predecessor institutions)?: The flexibility in studying and the supportive tutors.
What was your favourite thing about being a student at the University of Lincoln (or one of its predecessor institutions)?: The people, the diverse and including culture.
What would you say to a prospective student thinking of applying to the University of Lincoln?: Do it – you won’t regret it!
