Ellie studied Level 3 BTEC Business Studies at University Academy Holbeach before undertaking her BA in Business Studies at the University of Lincoln. As part of her degree, Ellie had a year-long industry placement at Nestlé which is where she returned, as a Business Solutions Analyst, after graduating. She was promoted to Business Solutions Specialist within two years.

“My placement was the foundations of my career”

Her role involves supporting the manufacturing and distribution of all Nestlé products, in the UK & Ireland. Ellie’s greatest achievement so far since graduating is her invitation to join the out-of-hours support team at work, this means overnight and at weekends she is the sole contact for any business-critical issues which might occur in the market. It is her responsibility to ensure the issue is resolved as soon as possible to prevent an impact to the business.

‘During my time at university, I was a member of the Business Society helping organise academic and social events. By getting involved in extra-curricular activities, I made friends for life and this is one of the great benefits of university. During my studies, I was supported with career advice including CV support and mock assessment centres from the Careers and Employability Service.’
