Find our more about how Aaron took his passion for Physics and teaching, and used his time at Lincoln to allow him to inspire the next generation of Physicists as a Secondary School Teacher.

Aaron studied BSc (Hons) Physics at Lincoln from 2015-2018, during which time he was introduced to local teacher training organisations, explored teaching through a Teaching Assistant role in a secondary school and took a part time tutoring job. Upon graduation he decided to pursue his long-standing interest in teaching by returning to Lincoln to complete his PGCE in Secondary Education. Since completing his teacher training, he has worked as a Physics Teacher at The Kings School Grantham, teaching a subject he is passionate about to 11–18-year-olds. Aaron says the best part of his job is sparking an interest in Physics in other young people and he also feels the pastoral aspect of his role is very rewarding.

When speaking about the Physics programme at Lincoln, Aaron said ‘The course also gave me the flexibility to decide between an integrated masters or bachelors at a later date, as I was undecided at the time where I wanted to go’

Aaron is due to return to the university in September to embark upon his PhD and take his learning to another level.
