Sebastian Farr, a graduate from the 2018 BA Drama class at the University of Lincoln, UK, has recently enjoyed a successful run producing a show at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Since graduating from Lincoln, Sebastian has gone on to work in the creative industry and has just finished co-producing a show from popular duo, 2 Mouthed Men, during its run at the Festival’s Underbelly.
The show, from Daniel Stanger-Cornwell and James Hawley, saw the pair showcase their unique trademark mix of comedy and music, with original songs, beat-centric sketches, and contagious cheer.
Having played the Festival in 2018 and 2019, prior to Sebastian joining as producer, the show played to its largest venue this year and sold out on multiple nights for the first time ever at the Fringe.
Speaking about the opportunity to work on a show at the world’s largest arts festival, Sebastian said: “The run was something of a runaway success and seeing it being so warmly received was a joy. It was also so exciting seeing the artwork across the City of Edinburgh.
“Fringe has been a hard slog for many artists this year, so we’ve been careful not to celebrate too ostentatiously, but must acknowledge the months of hard work that led to this success. It’s no accident or surprise, and I’m incredibly proud of the team that made this show happen”.
Sebastian is continuing his work with 2 Mouthed Men as Co-producer, with plans to continue presenting their comedy show at festivals, and for the show to embark on its first small tour within the next 12 months.
And away from working with the duo, Sebastian is also hard at work on a number of other projects, adding: “Until Mid-January I am working full-time as Assistant Front of House Manager and duty managing the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend-On-Sea, one of the largest multi-purpose arts centres in the South East.
“Some of my other freelance work includes working as ‘Sir Sebastian: Magic Maker’ for a character company owned by Lincoln Alumna Charlotte Fage (BA Hons. Drama, 2016), taking a technical lead on their theatre shows, and event managing their mid-scale outdoor events.
“I’m also working on a secret project with another Lincoln Drama Graduate (LSFPA/ Lincoln School of Creative Arts) which, subject to funding, will be announced in the near future.
“On top of all that, I also work as a voice-over artist, with projects under my belt including charity social media campaigns, Public Health Broadcasts and commercial voiceovers; so there’s plenty to keep me busy!”
