What are you doing now you have graduated from the University of Lincoln?: As the commissioner, I oversee the activities of Ministry of Housing and Urban development Yobe State.
How did your time at the University of Lincoln support your career?: Throughout my research and projects, I focused on addressing community problems and enhancing the human experience. My master’s thesis, “Developing Community Spirit in UK Social Housing,” laid the foundation to a career dedicated to serving humanity and improving people’s lives. Today, I am proud to say that I have become a reason for many people’s smiles, as my work has positively impacted countless lives.
What are the best parts of your job?: Our mandate as a Ministry is implementing developmental projects and providing technical expertise to all Ministries, Agencies and Departments. We produce all public building designs and we supervise and oversee construction from inception to completion.
If you could give our current students any top tip for after graduation and their careers, what would it be?: They should believe in themselves that one act of kindness from them can make a live changing difference in other people’s lives. It doesn’t matter how big or small. Life is not about us or what we achieve. It is our collective responsibility to as people to make the difference.

Why did you choose to study in the UK?: To meet people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives so as to broaden my understanding of the world and shaped my approach to design and problem-solving.
What inspired you to study at the University of Lincoln (or one of its predecessor institutions)?: A simple Google search of the best Architecture universities in the UK in the 2012.
What was your favourite thing about being a student at the University of Lincoln (or one of its predecessor institutions)?: Those interactions I had with people from diverse backgrounds instilled in me a passion for creating inclusive and sustainable spaces that foster community spirit and improve lives.
What would you say to a prospective student thinking of applying to the University of Lincoln?: As someone who has experienced the excellent education and support that Lincoln offers, I can confidently say that choosing to study at the university of Lincoln is an excellent choice. The university will provide them with a nurturing environment, cutting-edge resources, and dedicated staff to help them achieve their full potential. They should remember, their time at Lincoln is not just about academics; it’s also about building lasting relationships, exploring your passions, and developing into a well-rounded individual.
